The property boasts some old vines, cabernet sauvignon which were planted in 1980, followed by chardonnay and pinot noir in 1982.
Additional plantings of different clones of chardonnay and pinot noir were planted by Mark and Gina in 2004. Pinot Gris will also be planted in 2005 to bring the vineyard’s production capacity to 10 acres.
MorganField Vineyard produces distinctive cool climate chardonnay, pinot noir and cabernet sauvignon. The vines are hand pruned and the fruit hand picked. Because of the long, slow ripening on the vines under cool climate conditions, the fruit is hand picked late, normally mid to late April.
